Massage Cupping Continuing Education workshop is presented in a way that teaches Licensed Massage Therapists how to safely and correctly incorporate the use of massage cups into their practice. It discusses the history of cupping and the differences between wet and dry cupping. Research gathered (pros and cons) on the subject of massage cupping are introduced. Cautions and contraindications for massage cupping are reviewed as well as benefits. The importance of a thorough evaluation of clients, communication to clients as to the results massage cupping may have is discussed as well as having client consent. Proper sanitation, storage and transportation of massage cups are taught. LMTs will learn how to use massage cups and adjust their intensity during massage sessions to meet client needs. Full body silicone cupping techniques including active and passive movements are demonstrated by the instructor with LMT trade practices.

You have the option of bringing your own silicone cupping set, use the silicone cupping set provided for practice during the workshop or purchase your own 4 piece silicone cupping set. Please indicate your choice on the registration form.

Dress comfortably, as we will be giving and receiving bodywork throughout the day.
